Jordanian traders report that Jordan has issued a tender for the purchase of 120,000 metric tonnes wheat.
Jordan's national grain buyer issued a tender for 120,000 metric tonnes of milling wheat that can come from optional origins. European traders confirmed this on Wednesday.
The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 30 July.
Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.
The new tender seeks to ship in consignments of 60,000 tons in various combinations. The possible shipment combinations include Sept. 1-15 and Sept. 16-30, as well as Oct. 1-15.
The same period as the tender on Tuesday.
Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons animal feed barley, which closes this Wednesday. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens, Michael Hogan)
