Jordanian traders report that Jordan has issued a tender for the purchase of 120,000 T wheat.
Jordan's national grain buyer issued an international bid to purchase 120,000 metric tonnes of milling wheat that can be sourced in a variety of origins. European traders confirmed this on Wednesday.
The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 16 July.
Jordan's failure to purchase 120,000 metric tonnes of wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday had led to a new announcement.
The new tender seeks to ship in various combinations of 60,000-ton consignments.
The possible combinations of shipment dates are Aug. 16-31; Sept. 1-15; and Sept. 16-30. The same period of shipment was sought as in the tender on Tuesday.
Jordan also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons feed barley. This tender closes on Wednesday. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens, Jan Harvey, and Michael Hogan)
