Jordanian traders report that Jordan has issued a tender for 120,000 T of wheat.
Jordan's national grain buyer issued an international bid to purchase 120,000 metric tonnes of milling wheat that can be sourced in a variety of origins. European traders confirmed this on Wednesday.
The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 23 July.
The traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan bought 60,000 tons in its previous tender of 120,000 tons on February 2.
The new tender seeks to ship in various combinations of 60,000-ton consignments.
The possible shipment combinations for September 1-15, September 16-30, and October 1-15 are listed below.
Jordan also announced a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons animal feed barley. Price offers are due later today. (Reporting and editing by Jason Neely, Michael Hogan)
