According to traders, four trading companies have so far participated in the international bid of Jordan's state grain buyer for up to 120,000 tons animal feed barley to be purchased on Wednesday.

Traders said that Viterra, Bunge Ameropa, and Al Dahra were the trading houses believed to have participated so far. Traders said that no purchase has been made yet and the results will be expected later Wednesday.

The tender seeks to ship a number of combinations of 50,000-60,000 ton consignments during the second half December, and the first and second halves of January.

Jordan did not purchase barley in its previous bid for 120,000 tonnes of barley, which was held on September 25. Michael Hogan reports.
