Jordanian traders report that 6 people participated in the 120,000 T barley auction.
Traders said that six trading companies have so far participated in the international bid of Jordan's state grain buyer for up to 120,000 tons animal feed barley to be purchased on Wednesday.
Viterra, Bunge Al Dahra Ameropa Olam and Dreyfus are believed to have been the trading houses that participated so far. Traders said that no purchase had yet been reported, but results would be expected on Wednesday.
The new tender seeks to ship 50,000-60,000 tons of consignments between Jan.1-15, Jan.16-31, and Feb.1-14, as well as Feb.15-28, in 2025.
Jordan did not purchase barley in its previous bid for 120,000 tonnes of barley, which was held on November 20. Michael Hogan reports.
