Jordanian traders report that 6 people participated in the 120,000-metric-ton wheat tender.
Initial assessments indicate that six trading companies have participated in the international bid on Tuesday by Jordan's state grain buyer for 120,000 metric tonnes of wheat.
They said that Cargill, CHS Viterra, Ameropa, and The Andersons were thought to be participants. Traders said that no purchase had yet been made, and the results would be expected on Tuesday.
The new tender seeks to ship in consignments of 60,000 tons in various combinations. The possible shipment combinations include Sept. 1-15 and Sept. 16-30, as well as Oct. 1-15.
