Jordanian traders report that 5 people participated in the 120,000 t of wheat tender.
Initial assessments indicate that five trading companies have participated in the international bid on Tuesday by Jordan's state grain buyer to buy 120,000 metric tonnes of wheat.
Viterra, Al Dahra and Cereal Crops were thought to be the trading houses involved. They said that no purchase had yet been reported.
The new tender seeks to ship in combinations of 50,000-60,000 tons. The possible shipment combinations include April 16-30. May 1-15. May 16-31. and June 1-15.
Jordan bought 50,000 tons of wheat from Bulgarian trader Buildcom in its previous tender held on Jan. 28. The price was estimated at $265.25 per ton, including freight (c&f), for shipment during the first half June. Michael Hogan is reporting.
