European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 12 February.

Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday.

The tender seeks to ship a number of combinations between 50,000 tons and 60,000 tons in consignments from April 1-15, 16-30 April and 1-15 May. The same shipping periods were sought in the tender on Wednesday.

Jordan has also announced a separate international bid to purchase up to 120,00 tons of milling grain. Offers are due by February 11. (Reporting and editing by Jacqueline Wong; Michael Hogan)
