European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price offers for the tender is October 23.

Jordan's failure to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday had led to a new announcement.

The tender seeks to ship 50,000-60,000 tons of cargo in various combinations between Dec. 16 and 31, plus Jan. 1-15, and Jan. 16 to 31. The same shipping periods are used as Wednesday's tender.

Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons wheat, which closes on October 22. (Reporting and editing by Mark Potter; Michael Hogan)
