European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is October 2.

Jordan's failure to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday had led to a new announcement.

The new tender seeks to ship a number of combinations of 50,000-60,000 ton consignments during the second and third halves of December, and the first and second halves of January.

The same shipping periods are listed as those in the Wednesday's bid.

Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons wheat, which will close on October 1. (Reporting and editing by Mark Potter; Reporting by Michael Hogan)
