European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 17 July.

Jordan's failure to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday had led to a new announcement.

The tender seeks to ship a variety of combinations between 50,000 and 60,000 tons.

Combinations that are possible include Sept. 1-15; Sept. 16-30; Oct. 1-15; and Oct. 16 31. These combinations were also sought in an auction on Wednesday.

Jordan also announced a separate tender on Wednesday to purchase 120,000 tons wheat, which will close on July 16. (Reporting and editing by Jason Neely; Michael Hogan)
