European traders reported on Friday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is October 9.

Jordan's failure to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday had led to a new announcement.

The tender seeks to ship a number of combinations of 50,000-60,000 tons in consignments during the second and third halves of December 2024, and the first and second halves of January 2025. The same shipping periods are used as in the tender on Wednesday.

Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons wheat, which closes on October 8. Michael Hogan reports.
