European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price offers for the tender is August 28.

Jordan's failure to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday had led to a new announcement.

The tender seeks to ship in combinations of 50,000-60,000 tons. Combinations are possible between Oct.1-15, Oct.16-31, and Nov.1-15.

Jordan also released a separate bid to purchase 120,000 tons wheat, which closes on August 27. The same shipping periods apply as with the barley tender. Michael Hogan, reporting
