European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price offers is the 31st of July.

Jordan's failure to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday had led to a new announcement.

The latest tender seeks to ship in various combinations of consignments between 50,000 and 60,000 tons.

The same combinations as Wednesday's tender are possible: Sept. 1-15; Sept. 16-30; Oct. 1-15; and Oct. 16-30.

Jordan also announced a tender on Wednesday to purchase 120,000 tons wheat. This tender will close on July 30, 2013. Michael Hogan (Reporting) and David Goodman (Editing)
