Jordan offers to purchase up to 120,000 tonnes of wheat, traders claim
The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling-wheat, from which the origin can be chosen, European traders reported on Wednesday.
The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is February 18.
Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.
The new tender seeks to ship a variety of combinations between 50,000 and 60,000 tons.
Combinations of shipments are possible between June 1-15, 16-30 June, 1-15 July, 16-31 July.
On Wednesday, a separate Jordanian tender for animal feed barley up to 120,000 tonnes closes. (Reporting and editing by Tom Hogue; Michael Hogan)
