Jordan offers to purchase up to 120,000 tonnes of wheat, traders claim
The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling whey that can come from optional origins.
The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is February 11.
Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.
The new tender seeks to ship in combinations of 50,000-60,000 tons. Combinations of shipments are possible between April 16-30 and May 1-15.
On Wednesday, a separate Jordanian tender for up to 112,000 tons of animal feed barley will also be closing. Michael Hogan (reporting, Emelia Sithole Matarise, editing)
