Jordan offers to purchase up to 120,000 tonnes of wheat, traders claim
The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling whey that can come from optional origins.
The deadline to submit price offers for the tender is January 21.
The traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan's previous tender of 120,000 tons wheat Tuesday, which Jordan bought 60,000 tons.
The new tender seeks to ship a variety of consignments ranging from 50,000 to 60 000 tons.
Combinations of shipment dates for April 1-15, 16-30 April, 1-15 May and 16-31 May are possible.
On Wednesday, a separate tender for animal feed barley up to 120,000 tonnes from Jordan also closes. (Reporting and editing by Jason Neely; Michael Hogan)
