Jordan offers to purchase up to 120,000 tonnes of wheat, traders claim
European traders reported on Wednesday that Jordan's state grain purchaser has issued an international bid to purchase up to 120,000 tons of milling Wheat sourced from optional sources.
Prices are subject to change until December 10.
Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.
The new tender seeks to ship in combinations of 50,000-60,000 tons. The possible shipment combinations include Feb. 15-28; March 1-15; March 16-31; and April 1-15.
The same shipping periods are listed as those in the Tuesday's tender.
Jordan also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons animal feed barley. The tender will close later on Wednesday. Michael Hogan, reporting; David Goodman, editing
