Jordan has 9 bidders in the 120,000 T wheat auction, traders claim

Initial assessments indicate that nine trading companies have participated in the international bid on Tuesday by Jordan's state grain buyer for 120,000 metric tonnes of wheat.

Participants are believed to include Viterra, Al Dahra Ameropa Cargill CHS Buildcom Cerealcom Dolj Olam and Aston. Traders said that no purchase had yet been reported, but results were expected on Tuesday.

The shipment is being sought in various combinations of 50,000-60,000 ton consignments. Combinations of possible shipment dates are March 16-31; April 1-15; April 16-30, and May 1-15.

Jordan's state grain buyer bought 60,000 tons in its previous tender, on January 7, at an estimated cost and freight included of $268.90 (reporting by Michael Hogan).
