Jordan has 7 bidders in the 120,000 T wheat auction, traders claim
Initial assessments indicate that seven trading companies have participated in the international bid on Tuesday by Jordan's state grain buyer for 120,000 metric tonnes of wheat.
Participants are believed to include CHS, Cargill Viterra, Ameropa Cereal Crops, and Buildcom. Traders said that no purchase had yet been reported, but results were expected on Tuesday.
The tender seeks to ship a number of combinations between 50,000 and 60,000 tons. The possible shipment combinations in 2025 are between Feb. 15-28 and March 1-15. March 16-31, and April 1-15.
Jordan did not make any purchases in its previous tender on December 10 for 120,000 tonnes of wheat. Jordan has issued a separate bid to purchase 120,000 tons animal feed barley, which closes Wednesday. Michael Hogan reports.
