Jordan has 6 bidders in the 120,000 T wheat auction, traders claim
Initial assessments indicate that six trading companies have participated in the international bid on Tuesday by Jordan's state grain buyer for 120,000 metric tonnes of wheat.
Participants were believed to include Viterra, Cereal Crops Ameropa Buildcom CHS Al Dahra. They said that no purchase had yet been reported.
The new tender seeks to ship in combinations of 50,000-60,000 tons. Combinations of shipments are possible between April 16-30 and May 1-15.
Jordan bought 60,000 tons of wheat in its previous tender, held on Jan. 21. The cost and freight was estimated at $268 per ton for shipment during the first half April. Michael Hogan reports.
