Interpress reports that Georgian protesters have blocked the access road to Poti Black Sea Port.
Interpress, a Georgian news agency, reported that protesters against the government in Georgia blocked the access road to the main commercial port of the country at the Black Sea town of Poti on Sunday.
Protesters blocked at least one entrance of the port complex on Thursday, protesting against the ruling party’s announcement that it would suspend talks about joining the European Union during the next four years.
Was unable to verify to what extent the port is still accessible.
APM Terminals is the Dutch unit of Danish shipping giant Maersk that owns and operates the port. According to its website, it is Georgia's largest seaport, handling 80% the country's containers.
