Denmark disappointed by no bids for offshore wind tender
Authorities in Denmark announced on Thursday that they had received no bids from offshore wind farms for the latest tender.
In a written announcement, Energy and Climate Minister Lars Aagard stated that "this is a very disappointed result".
Aagard said that the circumstances of offshore wind in Europe had changed dramatically in a relatively brief time. This included large increases in price and interest rates.

It is the largest offshore wind tender it has ever held. Companies competing to build turbines at six sites, with a combined power of up to 10 gigawatts (GW), will not receive any subsidies.
The deadline to submit bids was Thursday. For three additional sites in the Baltic Sea or Kattegat, the deadline is April 1, 2025. (Reporting and editing by Andrew Heavens/Keith Weir; Stine Jacobsen)
