Analyst APK-Inform reported on Wednesday that Ukrainian sunflower oil exports fell by 45% in August compared to July due to a limited supply of sunseeds for refineries.

According to the consultancy, about 200,000 tons of sunflower oil was exported between Aug. 1 and 25.

The report said that the reduction in sunflower processing due to the shortage of raw material caused by the lack of raw materials could result in the volume of exports for August being the lowest for over two years.

The consultancy stated that Ukraine is a major global exporter and producer of sunflower oil. It has so far exported 6,23 million tons in 2023/24 season from September to August.
