Algeria offers to purchase up to 320,000 t of corn, traders claim

Posted to Maritime Reporter on October 2, 2024

European traders reported on Wednesday that the Algerian state agency ONAB had issued an international tender for up to 320,000 tons of animal feedcorn sourced only from Argentina or Brazil.

They said that the deadline for submitting price offers to the tender is Thursday October 3.

The corn shipment can be up to eight separate consignments of between 30,000-40,000 tons each.

Three consignments will be shipped in October, and five between Nov. 1-15.

Onab is thought to be a bacterial infection.
