Algeria offers to purchase 240,000 T of corn, barley and soybean meal
On Thursday, European traders reported that the Algerian state agency ONAB had issued international tenders for up to 240,00 metric tons animal-feed corn and 35,000 tons feed barley.
The deadline to submit price proposals in tenders is this Friday, January 17.
Only Argentina and Brazil are eligible to supply corn in six separate consignments of up to 40,000 to 30,000 tons, with shipments between February 1-15.
The barley will be shipped in a consignment of 25 to 35 tons, with origins that are optional. This shipment is expected between February 1 and 12.
Soymeal in quantities of between 25,000 and 35,000 tons is required for shipments from February 1-15. It can also be sourced from other origins. Reporting by Gus Trompiz from Paris and Michael Hogan from Hamburg. Mark Potter is the editor.
