Al Masirah TV reports that the US and Britain have launched raids in Yemen's capital Sanaa as well as elsewhere.
Al Masirah TV (the main Houthi-run television news outlet) reported Sunday that the United States and Britain conducted raids in the Yemeni capital Sanaa and the Amran Governorate, among other areas.
Residents and media from the Houthi group claimed that nine raids targeted Sanaa and its suburbs, as well as Amran Governorate.
Since November of last year, Houthi militants with an Iranian alignment have attacked international shipping near Yemen in solidarity with Palestinians fighting Israel's war against Hamas.
The attacks have prompted U.S.-led retaliatory actions and disrupted international trade, as ship owners divert vessels from the Red Sea to the Suez Canal and sail around the southern tip Africa. Reporting by Ahmed Tolba, Mohammed Ghobari and William Mallard; editing by Tom Hogue & William Mallard
