A kayaker is spit out by a humpback whale after it swallows him.

In a dramatic video, a humpback whale briefly sucked a kayaker into its mouth before spitting it out.

Last weekend, the kayaker Adrian Simancas was with his father in the waters off Punta Arenas when the whale surfaced, scooping him up into its mouth.

"I felt as if I were being lifted but it was too strong to be considered a wave," Simancas said.

When I turned around, I felt something passing near my face. It was like it was on the side and above. I couldn't make out what was going on. I didn't understand what was happening. "I thought I was swallowed and went under."

The whale quickly spit out Simancas without any harm. In another kayak, his father caught the entire thing on camera.

"I turned on my camera and I heard a loud wave crash behind me. Dell Simancas, his father, said, "When I turned around, I did not see anything."

"That was the only time I felt real fear, because for three seconds I did not see Adrian." He suddenly shot off without the packraft. A second later, it appeared, and I saw a fin.

Adrian Simancas thought he would die in the ordeal.

"I thought that I had lost my chance, I thought I was dead. He said, "It was only three seconds strange down there." (Reporting and writing by Adam Jourdan, Editing by Rosalba o'Brien).
