A group in Thailand purchases about 60,000 T of feed wheat, traders claim
European traders reported that an importer group from Thailand purchased approximately 60,000 metric tonnes of animal feed wheat imported from Ukraine at a Wednesday international auction.
Traders said that the wheat purchased in the tender by the TFMA Group was expected to be transported to Thailand via the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. This is due to the continued attacks against Red Sea shipping carried out by Yemen's Houthi groups.
The Constanta port in Romania was to host the ship loading.
The wheat was purchased at an estimated cost of $267.98 per ton C&F liner out.
The tender asked for a variety of possible shipment dates between August and Decembre. The traders had reported earlier that the shipment period was August and September.
The seller was thought to be Agrocorp, a trading house.
The reports reflect the assessments of traders. Further estimates on prices and volume are possible in the future. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens, Michael Hogan)
