Lilaas Engages Imtra for North American Distribution
Prospects in the North American marine equipment market have triggered a new and distribution agreement between control specialist Lilaas AS and marine and offshore sales and support organization Imtra Corporation, of New Bedford, Mass. The deal, initially over three years, will see Imtra’s 52-man organization offering product and after sales technical support for Lilaas control levers, joysticks and rudder controls in the U.S. and Canada.

DSS Secures HOS Jones Act MPSV for Gulf ROV Work
Delta SubSea Secures U.S.-Flagged DP-2 IMR/Construction Support Vessel for Deepwater ROV Operations in the GoM. Delta SubSea, LLC (DSS) has entered into an agreement with a subsidiary of Hornbeck Offshore Services, Inc. (HOS) for the HOS Bayou, one of Hornbeck’s recently constructed 300 class HOSMAX DP-2 multipurpose service vessels (MPSVs). The HOS Bayou is the newest U.S.-flagged Jones Act-compliant MPSV on the market today.

Deep Sea Mooring Wins Contract with Repsol
Global energy company Repsol has selected Deep Sea Mooring (DSM) to provide a range of mooring services for their drilling operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. DSM will be responsible for marine engineering and supplying the mooring equipment. The company will also assist in offshore operations, including both pre-lay and rig move. He added that this was the first time the two companies have worked together.
Statoil: New Compressor Means Heightened Production
The new compressor in operation on the Kvitebjørn field in the North Sea from 17 September will increase production there by 220 million barrels of oil equivalent and extend the field’s lifetime with eight years. The compressor will help boost recovery rate and accelerate production on the Kvitebjørn field. The new compressor contributes to an increase in the recovery rate at the Kvitebjørn field from 55% to 70%.
