New Watermaker Tailored to O&G Operations
FCI Watermakers said its new Neptune+ OG is designed and built specifically for the severe conditions of offshore oil and gas operations, whether on a platform, tanker, carrier or PSV.
The unit will make from 3,400 to 10,000 gallons of pure, fresh water a day, enough for production operations, equipment wash down, laboratory use, cooking and drinking, according to the manufacturer.
The Neptune+ OG’s 316 stainless steel or 6061 aluminum alloy frame has built-in lifting eyes and forklift slots for easy placement. It boasts a Class 1 Division II NMEA 4X-compliant stainless steel hazardous location electrical enclosure; explosion-proof ratings are available. The continuous-duty, maintenance-free, direct-drive motor is totally enclosed and fan-cooled. The new model adds increased prefiltration, first with a 25 micron bag, followed with 120 sq. ft. of 5 micron pleated cartridges.
The Neptune+ OG comes with a V4 control system. Using the intuitive 7" Bridge Classified touchscreen display that's marine-certified for temperature extremes, the innovative watermaker is easily programmed. With its Automatic Pressure Control (APC), it will make water, run diagnostics, shut down, perform a fresh water flush and bring itself back online—all automatically.
The Neptune+ OG bears type approval certification from ABS, GL, Lloyd's Register EMEA, Det Norske Veritas and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, and can be built to any classification or standard required.
