Tideland Appoints Agent for Indian Ocean

Tideland Signal has appointed Seanergy Indian Ocean as agent for its range of aids to marine navigation in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean.
 

With offices on the island of Réunion and in Toamasina/Tamatve, Madagascar, Seanergy Indian Ocean will supply and support the entire Tideland range including buoys, beacons, lanterns and advanced electronic equipment such as racons, AIS, Tideland’s advanced AIS Viewer (TSD) and remote monitoring systems.  


Dominique Thirel, the company’s General Manager, commented: “ I am delighted to have the opportunity to represent Tideland's advanced LED lantern technology in the Indian Ocean.  In particular the highly reliable and robust Nova-65 and the self-contained Sola Nova-65 model with integral solar modules and battery are undoubtedly the best choice for conditions here.”


Seanergy Indian Ocean Is a well established team of European and locally born professionals with over 20 years experience in marine works and commercial diving in the region as well as a range of maritime services including underwater construction and maintenance, surveys and inspections.   In addition to representing Tideland Signal, Seanergy also acts as agent for Ecoplage, an ecologically-based system designed for countering beach erosion.


Born and educated in Réunion, Dominique Thirel is a diver by background and has served as a Lieutenant instructor for firefighting squads in Paris, as a commercial diver and as an official expert with the French judicial system.
