Seaspan Adds Two Secondhand Containerships

Containerships owner and operator Seaspan Corporation announced Thursday it has taken delivery of two 13,000 TEU vessels built in 2010 and 2011, and both containerships have commenced long-term time charters with a global liner.

Bing Chen, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Seaspan, said, "Despite the unprecedented pandemic, we have now completed the acquisition of 13 high-quality vessels since December of 2019. Seaspan's fleet currently consists of 125 containerships, representing total capacity of approximately 1,049,000 TEU
