Seakeeper Launches New Professional Division

October 2, 2013

To serve growing worldwide demand for gyro stabilization, Seakeeper has established its new Professional Division, which will formally launch at the International WorkBoat Show. With it, Seakeeper offers a dedicated team and focused product offerings for commercial, military, workboat, offshore, research and patrol markets.

Driving Seakeeper's initiatives for the Professional Division are new team members Carl Wegener, Commercial Sales Director – Americas and Sean Hatherley, International Commercial Sales Director – APAC & EMEA. The company plans further infrastructure development around this division with dedicated product development, project management and installation support.

Wegener comes to Seakeeper with more than 25 years of commercial marine industry experience, most recently as VP of strategic planning with Signal International. He also previously held management positions with Kvichak Marine Industries and Austal USA.

Hatherley joins Seakeeper after serving as VP of sales with Intellian Technologies. He holds more than 20 years of marine industry sales experience, including executive positions with Navico and Raymarine.

Seakeeper actively controlled gyro stabilization systems reduce resonant vessel roll whether the craft is at rest, slow speed, or underway. Suitable for new builds or refits, various models fit vessels from 35' to over 200' in either single or multi-unit configurations.
