RFA Sir Percivale Awarded to A&P Tyne

A&P Tyne has been awarded the latest fleet auxiliary refit contract in the form of the drydocking and repair of the fleet support vessel RFA Sir Percivale, by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The vessel, which is operated by the Warship Support Agency (WSA), is due to arrive on Tyneside on 7 July 2003 for a extended survey and repair period scheduled to last four weeks. Work involved will include docking hull preparation and painting, voyage repairs, hull surveys, cargo access equipment survey, safety equipment survey, freeboard survey, main and auxiliary engine survey, accommodation upgrade and refurbishment work, and minor alterations and additions to ships systems.
