Bordelon Marine Renews Charter Deal with Oceaneering
Lockport, La. based Bordelon Marine announced it has renewed the charter agreement with Oceaneering International for the Brandon Bordelon; 260-foot-long DP2 Jones Act compliant ultra-light intervention vessel for an additional two-year firm term plus one-year additional option. The charter agreement renewal commenced in March 2024.The 2015-built vessel is mobilized with two Oceaneering Millennium Plus work class remotely operated vehicles (ROV) and Oceaneering survey equipment and technology.
Petrobras Extends Helix Well Intervention Vessel
Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. announced on Monday that it entered into a two-year extension of its well intervention charter and services contracts with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) for the Siem Helix 2 well intervention vessel offshore Brazil. The negotiated extension is scheduled to conclude in December 2024 and directly follows Helix’s current contracts with Petrobras.The Siem Helix 2 is a purpose-built, advanced well intervention vessel capable of performing a wide range of subsea services including production enhancement, well decommissioning, subsea installation, offshore crane and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) operations, offshore construction and emergency response.
Milaha, Schlumberger to Build Stimulation Vessel
Qatar's maritime and logistics firm Milaha said it entered into a formal agreement with U.S. headquartered oilfield services firm Schlumberger to cooperate on projects that will localize the energy sector supply chain, including the construction of a Qatari offshore oil well stimulation vessel.Milaha said its offshore and marine arm signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will support value building projects while jointly driving Qatar Petroleum-led Tawteen program,…
