Kongsberg Maritime to Equip 10-Strong Fleet of Capital Offshore’s PSVs
Kongsberg Maritime has secured $73.3 million contract from Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in China to supply range of equipment for a new fleet of 10 platform supply vessels (PSVs) being built for Greek shipowner Capital Offshore.Under the contract, Kongsberg Maritime will supply all propulsion, automation, and energy systems for the 95-metre vessels of MMC 897 CD design.The Kongsberg Maritime electrical system on these vessels will enable optimal operation through the Energy Storage System (ESS).
Havila Shipping Secures Work for Its PSV
Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Havila Shipping has entered into contract with Peterson Den Helder for its platform supply vessel (PSV) Havila Borg.The contract, whose value was not disclosed, is for a firm period of two wells estimated to 200 days.It also includes optional periods for eight wells each estimated to 65 days.The start of operations is expected to be within two weeks, Havila Shipping said.Built in 2009, Havila Borg features Havyard 832 design. The PSV is 78.6 meters long, with the breadth of 17.6 meters and deck of 800 m2. It can accommodate 23 people.
Equinor's Platform Supply Vessel Set to Operate on Gasum’s bio-LNG
Gasum and Equinor have launched a series of liquefied biomethane (bio-LNG) bunkering operations in Norway's Port of Dusavik, with bio-LNG being bunkered to Equinor’s chartered platform supply vessel Island Crusader.The first bio-LNG delivery was successfully carried out mid-July. Gasum will continue to supply Island Crusader with two to three truckloads of bio-LNG approximately every other week. Each truckload contains about 22 tons of bio-LNG.Both Gasum and Equinor are committed to ambitious sustainability goals to enable a cleaner energy future.

Compagnie Maritime Monegasque (CMM) has secured $94 million in financing from Summit Ridge Capital Partners, which will help the company construct pioneering ethanol-powered fleet of Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) in Brazil.The financing will enable CMM to recompose its shareholder structure and to expand its fleet, the company said. SEACOR Marine Upgrades PSV with Hybrid Battery Power System

Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Solstad Offshore has agreed to sell 37 platform supply vessels to the U.S. firm Tidewater for $577 million.The sale will mark Solstad Offshore's exit from the platform supply vessel sector. Ongoing PSV charter parties will be transferred to Tidewater.
