Visitors to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, October 30–November 3, 2014, can experience what it’s like to control a diesel-powered, conventional driveline boat using Twin Disc's Express Joystick System (EJS). Twin Disc's booth will feature a unique, hands-on simulator where visitors can maneuver and dock a virtual boat using the fingertip control of the EJS.

Offering intuitive control over a boat while docking, the EJS responds instantly to the slightest pressure using its "push, twist and go" technology, giving the boater ultimate command over speed and direction, Twin Disc said. The system allows the user to spin the boat on its axis, to crab it diagonally or to slip it sideways with absolute precision. The EJS provides the boater a whole new level of confidence during what is typically the most difficult part of boating: leaving and returning to a dock—especially an unfamiliar one or in windy conditions.
