Lougheed Joins Willard’s Engineering Team

Willard Marine, Inc. has appointed Mark Lougheed to its engineering team.
Lougheed brings more than 25 years of experience in naval engineering and project management to Willard Marine. Lougheed was most recently at Coast Dynamics Group as an Engineering Project Leader developing technology for SHOXS Seats. He was also the Senior Research and Development Engineer at Zodiac Hurricane Technologies, a division of Zodiac MilPro in Canada, where he managed the development of a line of composite and metal stepped hull planing boats.

At Elliot Bay Design Group in Seattle, Wash., Lougheed was a Structural Designer and CFD Analyst developing hull and superstructure shapes using 3D modeling, testing and data correlation. Lougheed was also the Chief Designer/Engineer at SAFE Boats International, managing numerous engineering projects and teams to address customer requirements, verification procedures, hydrostatic stability, weight and balance, powering and speed evaluation.
Lougheed has a Masters Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and an Associate of Technical Arts in Electronics Technology from Centralia College in Washington, where he also completed the Associate of Science Program in Mathematics. The United States Navy commended Lougheed in 2005 by including him in the “Naval Sea Systems Command, Engineer Team of the Year” award, for his role in the Small Unit Riverine Craft project.
