Videos Prep Crew For Disasters And Emergencies

Moxie Media has created a two-part 25-minute video series that works to train maritime employees to quickly alert Search and Rescue authorities regarding an emergency, as well as assisting with guidance to rescue crafts. The video covers MayDay reporting protocols, as well as the most up-to-date high tech training, inspection and maintenance information on electronic signaling systems, mainly GMDSS and portable VHF emergency units. Also discussed are the donning of life jackets and immersion suits, and instruction on the use of line throwing devices to assist in the rescue of personnel and ships.

In addition, a second video series, titled “Fiber Line for the Maritime Industries,” familiarizes crewmen with the considerations necessary for choosing the most appropriate line for use in various maritime applications, proper storage and safety.
