Cutting Machinery Firm HGG Eyes US Growth
With much of North America still reeling from the pandemic, HGG Profiling Equipment continues to grow, responding to immediate and anticipated customer demand for profile-cutting machinery. Since opening its new 6,500-square-foot facility in Houston in this spring 2020, HGG has added an area manager to its sales and support team, three new customer service and support specialists, and two new service technicians.
HGG recently expanded its North American sales coverage by adding Todd Wellens as Area Manager for eastern and midwestern US and Canada; increased its customer service and support capabilities by adding Carlos Rodriquez, Michelle Cooper and Jessica Gerlich; and added technical service support depth with new service technicians Didier Decoopman and Eduardo Calzada. Along with utilizing its new facility and staff for customer service and support under one roof, the new center will be a centralized hub for rapidly deploying technical service and engineering support to the field.
Along with new Houston facility staffing for service and support, HGG will be using the new facility to warehouse spare machine parts and plasma consumables for quick customer turnaround. The new facility will also be utilized as a training center for HGG customers and staff with onsite profile-cutting demo machinery, showcasing HGG’s latest software solutions. Some light machine assembly is also planned for the center.
HGG will initially display its ProCutter 600, specially designed for cutting complex tube and pipe profiles up to 24 inches in diameter. The HGG PC 600 incorporates advanced HGG technology and expertise in HGG’s most affordable 3D profile-cutting machine. It is available with oxy-fuel, plasma, marking and CAM interfaces. The PC 600 reduces grinding, fitting and welding time and related costs after pipe profiles are cut, while providing full penetration welds.
