Reftrade has secured a $2.8 million contract with international shipping and delivery company Chronopost International, to install refrigerated cold rooms on multiple platforms and distribution hubs throughout France.

Reftrade’s French division, market leaders in lease of refrigerated containers and temperature controlled units, secured the 60 month contract in Q1 of 2015 on the back of Chronopost launching its Chronofresh line.

Chronofresh, an express delivery service of fresh produce to businesses and private clients throughout France that necessitates controlled conditions of between 0 and 4°C and -18°C, required Reftrade’s bespoke refrigerated cold rooms to meet these temperature constraints.

The scope of work includes the assembly of various models of refrigerated containers, both 20- and 40-foot, noise reduction cases, side and sliding doors and emergency exits. By the end of 2016 Reftrade will have successfully set up more than 25 controlled temperature modular structures, allowing Chronopost to further develop its Chronofresh express service.
