Drydocks World Secures New ISO Certificate

Drydocks World the international service providers to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors won the ISO 3834-2: 2005 certificate for quality requirements on fusion welding of metallic materials. This certificate validates Drydocks World’s capabilities in line with international welding standards and criteria, ensuring proper monitoring, documenting, testing and supervision of the welding process. The terms of service required in relation to welding have been met through compliance with rules, conditions and requirements.

The ISO 3834-2: 2005pledges that the implementation of welding operations are being carried out correctly and accurately through the development of welding procedures. The certification guarantees the evaluation and qualification of welders, which plays an important role in cutting costs and erasing any deficiencies in the welding equipment. Further, the certification aids employees in identifying their tasks accurately, enhancing their technical skills in order to provide high-quality services in line with customer requirements.

Drydocks World winning the ISO 3834-2: 2005 is a result of the yards relentless efforts to improve the quality of services provided to the marine and maritime industries, consistent with the highest international standards. Drydocks World has gained widespread recognition on various local, regional and international levels, which has led the organization towards achieving a prestigious reputation in quality management efficiency.

The ISO 3834-2: 2005 certificate comes as a part of the group’s strategy to modernize the  Quality Management system, in line with the agreement signed in February 2014 to collaborate with the Norwegian classification group DNV GL. DNV GL provides an assessment of quality management systems, evaluating and auditing the quality managementof Drydocks World based on theagreed plans in order to verify compliance with the ISO2008-9001 standards and to identify potential opportunities to improve the quality of such operations.

Drydocks World has met many of the certificates standards which guarantee quality on all service requirements. The group has won the ISO 14001 certificate, by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA) for meeting the ISO certificate 2008-9001 requirements. The group also won OHSAS -IPS18001 certificate and won the license certificates of ASME, and a certificate for quality systems from the American Petroleum Institute (API) Spec Q1 category. In addition, the group has earned a certificate from the Norwegian classification group DNV GL for meeting the requirements and standards ofthe ISO(9001-2008).
