GL Celebrates 140th Anniversary in New York

Commemorating its 140th anniversary, Germanischer Lloyd celebrated with a gathering in New York. A collection of dignitaries, representatives of shipowners, shipyards, supply industry and administrations of the U.S. maritime area convened at the esteemed New York Yacht Club.
In addition, from Nor-Shipping, GL reported that the fleet management program GL ShipManager has its first international clients. Finnish shipping company Oy Langh Ship and Danish company Transmarine Management have entrusted Ms Logistik Systeme, a Germanischer Lloyd Group company, with the implementation of the GL ShipManager in their fleets.
