Hawaiian Ports Reopen After Hurricane Lane
Hawaii's commercial ports reopen in the wake of Hurricane Lane
The 248-meter containership Horizon Pacific enters Honolulu on August 25, 2018 as the first cargo ship to return to the port following Hurricane Lane.
The Coast Guard Captain of the Port reopened all remaining commercial ports in Hawaii as of 9 a.m Saturday except for Lanai, which pends assessment, following the downgrading of Tropical Storm Lane and completion of port assessments.
Honolulu, Maui, and Kauai County ports only saw limited impacts. The assessment of Kalamauapau Harbor on Lanai pends.
