Bollinger Issues Statement on Fast Response Cutters (FRC) Award

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., has named Chris Bollinger as Executive Vice President of New Construction Division, according to Donald “Boysie” Bollinger, Chairman and CEO of the Lockport, La. headquartered shipbuilding and repair company. Bollinger has been employed at Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. since 1993 and has held numerous managerial and leadership positions. Bollinger Delivers 100th Patrol Boat to Coast Guard

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., Lockport, La., and the United States Coast Guard celebrated a production and relationship milestone today with the delivery of Coastal Patrol Boat 52* SEA LION, WPB 87352, an 87-foot vessel of the Marine Protector Class, and the 100th patrol boat or cutter**, built by Bollinger for the Coast Guard. Bollinger has built the entire Coast Guard patrol boat fleet that includes 49, 110-foot Island Class and 51, 87-foot Marine Protector Class vessels.

Bollinger Receives Safety Award from SCA

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. was awarded the 2010 Award for Excellence in Safety by the Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA). The award was presented during the association’s April 5, 2011 general membership meeting held in Washington, D.C.  The Award for Excellence in Safety is given to member companies who have an end-of-year Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) that is below the average SCA rate.      

Bollinger Begins First Phase of Deepwater Program

Bollinger Quick Repair (BQR), the ship repair and conversion facilities of Bollinger Shipyard has gone online with its new service, which aims to save vessel owners and operators money, as well as helping vessels to run more efficiently. Bollinger Delivers 80,000 BBL Tank Barge

Lockport, La., Bollinger Gretna, L.L.C. of Harvey, La., a Bollinger shipyard, has delivered B. No. 284, a double hull 80,000 bbl oil tank barge built to meet the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA’90) to Bouchard Ocean Services, Melville, N.Y.   Barge B. USCG Awards Bollinger 3 Patrol Boat Contract

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. announced that it was awarded a contract valued at over $142,000,000 to build an additional three Sentinel Class, 154-ft patrol boats, for the U. S. Coast Guard.  The initial contract for the design and construction of the lead ship in the class was awarded to Bollinger in September 2008. Under the current contract options, the Coast Guard can buy up to thirty-four patrol boats with Bollinger for a total value of over $1.6b.
