Singapore's Otto Marine Ltd. has sold through one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries, whose shipyard is located in Indonesia, the 2 Anchor Handling Towage & Supply Vessels (AHTS) to a third party buyer for re-chartering. The aggregrate price of the two AHTS was US$ 170-million. On or around the completion of the sale of the vessels, they would be chartered by the buyer to one of the company’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, Otto Fleet Pte. Ltd. Oil leakage from a PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) pipeline has grown and spread to Koh Samet's Phrao Bay in the eastern province of Rayong, within 600 metres of one of Thailand's most popular tourist beaches, reports MCOT. By 10pm, Sunday night, 600 metres of Phrao Bay beach was oil-covered, with an oil slick 20-30 cm thick floating some 20 metres from the beach. At about 200 metres from shore, a thinner film of oil spread around the bay.
CCGS Research Icebreaker Sails on 2013 Arctic Mission
The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans wished bon voyage to Canadian Coast Guard crew members and scientists aboard the CCGS 'Amundsen' who will participate in the 2013 research mission in the Canadian Arctic. "This year marks the 10th anniversary of the CCGS Amundsen, a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary research icebreaker," said Minister Shea. The CCGS Amundsen is one of the few Canadian icebreakers to have a dual purpose.
